How does Taurine Powder work?

Taurine Powder contains taurine one of the amino acids that play a significant role in the development of the central nervous system and may be used to support normal heart function. Taurine Powder also assists in heart calcium regulation, which helps to regulate heartbeat. Supplementing taurine can be helpful in enabling liver metabolism, gall production, and general metabolism. It is also considered to be an important amino acid for the protection of the retinas and vision.

Dogs are able to synthesize taurine from the amino acids methionine and cysteine themselves, unlike cats. Depending on age, weight and energy levels, a dogs' taurine requirements can vary - especially in larger dog breeds, such as Newfoundlands, taurine deficiency can often be observed. Often, taurine is not present in sufficient quantities in many ready-to-eat dog foods. Taurine can balance the daily requirements of your pet and has an additional positive effect on normal heart function.

The AniForte® products are developed in close cooperation with alternative practitioners, nutrition experts and veterinarians to support the healthy development of your pet.
